There is always that one person who you know you should forget,
For weeks and months you refuse to cut them out,
Listen to their story’s, act like you don’t care,
Even thou you ache, you watch their life unfold,
Words, places and people remind you of the time you spent together,
You hold your breath and walk on as if you are not affected,
You must remove them, delete them, ignore them, your bond is finally severed,
A moment of realisation eventually comes, your feelings become deflected,
You don’t pray daily and you don’t wish often,
But you ask that one day you will be able to hear their name and not be consumed by an unwanted emotion.
